Short Term Accommodation, including respite, is funding for support and accommodation for a short time away from your usual home.

It covers the cost of your care in another place for up to 14 days at a time. You might have a short stay with other people, or by yourself.

It’s often funded when your usual carers aren’t available, or for you to try new things. Short Term Accommodation, including respite, is support for when you need to live out of home for a short period.

Short Term Accommodation funding can be used for respite to support you and your carers. This gives your carers a short break from their caring role.

Short Term Accommodation includes:

24 hour 7 days per week respite services to people with disability for individuals 16 years of age and over in our respite rooms in Bega.

Our respite accommodation is designed to offer a relaxing enjoyable break from your usual home environment.

Our skilled experienced workers provide personalised supports and community outings in specialised vehicles, enabling you to make the most of the beautiful Bega Valley and surrounds during your stay.

Resources at our respite areas include electric beds, a full hoist, accessible bathrooms, televisions, climate control, full kitchen, lounge room, storage space for personal belongings and access to many creative arts and other fun activities.

We support your decisions, and Tulgeen will focus on making your respite experience the best it can be.
