To nurture individual creativity through the process of making and exhibiting art works that promote development of art skills and lead to pathways to professional development.

Art in The Garage employs qualified local practicing artists who work with emerging artists identifying with disability. The project philosophy focuses on encouraging the development of art skills, and nurturing individuals’ creativity through sensitive mentorship. A portfolio of artwork is established for each artists creating opportunities for exhibitions and providing pathways to professional development.

Art in The Garage is an established Art Precinct in Bega and has been running for over twenty years. The original domestic garage studio is linked by an outdoor undercover work area with two purpose-built studios. Each studio provides specialised facilities and equipment for diverse artmaking practices, including ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, textiles, 3D construction and digital media.

Art in The Garage provides unique opportunities for artists to have individual mentoring to develop their art practice, learn new skills and experiment with a wide variety of mediums.
