Tim Fitzgerald

With lived experience of disability Tim has a participant’s perspective on the operation of the NDIS. With close family in the Bega Valley for the last forty years Tim and his wife moved here in 2020.

Tim’s work experience has encompassed teaching, being a high school principal, a management consultant and a senior public service executive officer. He has been responsible for developing a whole of government strategy on Vulnerable Children and the total restructure of a statewide workforce focused on the educational needs of Aboriginal children.

Tim is currently completing further tertiary study in Anthropology and participates in a number of research projects on disability. He has co-written four textbooks and presented at various national and international conferences.

Tim is a member of the Bega Valley Shire Council Sub-committee on Access and Inclusion and the Tura Beach Bowling Club.
